and on the same dayd tokyo ska paradise is playing :frown:
is this a good thing or bad thing? because if 'tokyo ska paradise' is playing at the same time of against me who are you going to see? (yes i can see there playing two nights in a row Tongue )
Well . I'd say its a bad thing, cause the first AM date is about 150 km away... (and TSP plays at the 12.7.). Besides that Am plays in my fav location at the 12.7..

Gezz dunno what to do...
No England dates Sad
I havent seen them live (they came last year and i didnt go because i havent really heard them before). On a australian punk / hardcore radio program i heard two dudes from against me do a accoustic set and they sounded pretty rad. then a friend sent some songs and heard a cd and im like fuck they are awesome yeh... COME BACK TO AUSTRALIA
Against Me! have turned into a bunch of rock stars. They came to play around here and my friend Ryan decided to be a good guy and help them set up. Its what you do, ya know? He hauled in all their equipment and set up what he could. They didn't even talk to him the whole time, and didnt even acknowledge him. Not even a thank you. Then they were finishing up and he requested they play We Did It All for Don, after he had stood in the front the entire show and sang all their songs, and they just looked him in the eyes and said, "We don't do encores," packed up, and left.

I don't even want to see them anymore.

Yes they are playing that show, and you're right; all their messages mean nothing. Although I always got the feeling they were being just a little insulting with all their songs, particularly "Those Anarcho Punks..." I just felt he was chuckling in his head, mocking anarcho punks. Oh well. Me and my band always look to that album for inspiration and we hope to live with those philosophies.

Good. Because it doesnt have anything to do with them anymore. I played it acoustically at my last show to good response.

When they played here, in Prince George Canada about a month ago, they played Baby, I'm An Anarchist...they also played TWO encores (they all went off, then Tom came back and played a new song alone, then the band came out and played a song, then they came offstage, then back on for two more)...

Also, I talked to all of them after the show, especially Warren and the bassist who's name escapes me. With both of them, we talked about how sobreity will be affecting their songs and shows, and then I smoked a doobie with the bassist... it wasn't bad at all. They mingled with the crowd before the show too..

It was pretty cool because they rocked out 200% on stage when there was only 150 kids in a crappy nowhere town, they coulda played so half-assed and we all would have been happy as fuck, but no, they rocked so fucking hard.

*shrug*

AF were good when I saw them last week... they put on a good show, even if they are too simple and preachy.

Green Day were described by Radio 1 as "the greatest punk band ever".
I would love to hear AM! play "We Did It For Don." Out of all the times I've seen them they never played it. It was be awesome to hear them do it. It is my favorite song by them.
