Rob Trujillo (bassist for Suicidal Tendencies, now playing in Metallica unfortunately) is reuniting the original Infectious Grooves lineup for the Orion Music Festival! That means Cyko Mike will be singing for that, yet oddly, Suicidal is not on the bill. If anyone would be happening to go and tape this, that would just make my year. I'd be happy with crappy Youtube cell phone uploads of this event.

Artist: Sex Pistols
Title: Live on the Anarchy Tour at the Manchester Electric Circus 9th December 1976.

Newly digitally remastered in January 2013 from the original recording by the taper.

Files in the upload:

"Sex Pistols - Electric Circus - 9 Dec 1976 - Digital Remaster - FLAC.zip" link is http://we.tl/MUdZNx6U6N

"Sex Pistols - Electric Circus - 9 Dec 1976 - Digital Remaster - MP3.zip" link is http://we.tl/RECCCyrln9

The MP3 zip is 224bit mp3 files of each track, suitable for loading into an MP3 player.
The FLAC zip is FLAC files of each track, sized ready for burning to a gapless audio CD.

I don't have the time or energy to bother with seeding a torrent, so I have uploaded to a file sharing site, and hopefully others can seed a torrent for me - I hope this is ok.

Burning to CD of the MP3 files is not recommended. This is because the MP3 format is lossy and decoding them will introduce small gaps in the audio data, which will cause audible clicks at the end of each track on a gapless CD.

The equipment used for the original recording was an Aiwa Radio Cassette Recorder using the built-in microphone. This was quite a good quality item and fairly expensive (for the time) at around £100. In todays money this would be around £500. It wasn't perfect, but it was all I had available at the time... many thanks to one of my best friends for trusting me enough to lend it to me (especially as he wasn't with me on the night). I wish I could go back in time with the audio recording equipment I use for recording bands now!

Apologies for missing the beginning of Problems... because of the very indifferent response from the audience, I hadn't expected an encore, and had started packing away the tapes, when the band came back onstage.

Apologies also for losing the tape of the Heartbreakers set - I wish I had been more careful with it. It would have been nice to share the recording of the complete gig.

The remastering work has taken about 3 months, so I very much doubt that I will do the same work on the Clash and Buzzcocks sets.

I think the result is a big improvement to the sound of the recording - I hope you agree.

Is the band formed after the Virgin Prunes split. Now, they've made three studio albums(two of them are, at my opinion, very well made), all three of them can be find easily. But i can't find anywhere some live material, video or just audio. Anyone knows something about it?

Poison Idea is getting the reissue treatment from TKO records and Southern Lord. TKO handling the vinyl and Southern Lord the CD. The Ian Mackaye EP is the one I am looking forward to the most. right now TKO is working on the Kings Of Punk. so they have maybe another year to go to get to Ian Macakye, which has a funny cover and the songs I think are their best next to Feel The Darkness.

did only Melvins Fans go to the NYE show.because I can't find anywhere to hear "Linda Blair Suite 2012" from the split they did with the Melvins. the Melvins stuff is up. hell everything else by Redd Kross can be found somewhere but not this strange. It is a suite of the songs Linda Blair,White Trash and Tatum O'Tot and The Fried Vegetables. the art work for the 12" makes it so expensive. the cheapest copy I can find is for $150 at discogs. if anyone has it I would love to hear it.

I once saw a clip of some band playing free jazz (a trailer for some music programme on German tv). I found it quite similar to jazzcore/hardcore.

Can somebody recommend me some band or album that resembles punk/hardcore, but particularly from the jazz side? So I'm not talking about NoMeansNo/Victims Family/Rhythm Pigs/Shovlhed-branch ...

I already have tried Brötzmann, Naked City, Coleman ... I guess Flying Luttenbachers or Phantom Tollbooth come close.

btw Does The Cellar still exist?

Hello everyone, this is Mike Clark, rhythm guitarist for Suicidal Tendencies 25 years strong!
Some of you may be wondering what I've been up to for the last 7 months or so.
Well, I've always had a dream of fronting my own band, that is playing both rhythm and lead guitars and singing which is why I left Suicidal in June to recreate the band I founded in 1985, No Mercy.
Unfortunately I cannot use the name, No Mercy, as it's been trademarked by W.W.E., so we are now calling the band "Waking The Dead".
We are re releasing the No Mercy original album, which Mike Muir sang on with two additional tracks, also featuring Muir on vocals to let you know where and how the band would sound had it kept going.
Also, I, with Waking the Dead, have been given the great opportunity to open the show for Suicidals upcoming tour this April which is a great honor for us.
After that, look forward to a Waking the Dead full length album in the near future.
Once again, I can't tell you how excited and honored I am to hit the stage again!
So get ready for your ears to bleed, that head to bang and that slam pit to go off!!
STraight from the heart,
