Although it says 2-3x punk in the tags, it's got fuck all to do with punk.
It's psychedelic country/folk, period

I listened 3 songs of each album. If there's 1 song that differs from the rest, it still doesn't mean it's punk
And even the song you link to got nothing to do with Punk, it might be 78RPM noise played on 33RPM

Quote:Typical punk rock instrumentation includes one or two electric guitars, an electric bass, and a drum kit, along with vocals. Punk rock songs tend to be shorter than those of other popular genres
So where does that piano fit in?

To think that you are narrow minded enough to consider that the addition of a piano completely excludes the concepts of energy or rawness that is punk is ridiculous. I'm not trying to offend any punk purists here, and of course its not plain and simple punk. But it draws upon punk influences all over the place.

If you listen to Strangelove's first album he has on his website, when he was still in "The Strangeloves", you'll see that it is almost entirely punk and even some sludge. His current stuff is very much post-punk.
Hype Multiplier-The Strangeloves

The song "loser" off the rat hole is a cover of a folk-punk song.

If you adhere as strictly to the punk formula as you claim, you couldn't use synthesizers either, a cornerstone in a shit ton of punk.

Punk should hit you straight in your face, makes you wanna jump up and down by the energy that flows from the music straight into you

This (to quote the tags) chillwave-acid-psychedelic-synthesizer "punk" makes me remind the DJ's that played simulair stuff to scare the last punks after a punkshow out of the venue Laugh

Psychedelic is the next step for punk, even though they have always been intertwined. Even the ramones attest to this with their 1993 cover album "Acid Eaters", showing their old school garage/psychedelic influences.

But I showed him this, and the feedback is always appreciated.

Is this the band from Patrick Duff?

"Now for ninja, that forum needs to be blown up. Shut it down, make it a stand-alone forum on a subdomain with different user accounts and be done with it. It's fucking childish and it's bringing this site down with it."
