Hey, I saw them touring England for the first time with Zoli Teglas from Ignite. To be honest, it wasn't the show of the year, but still a decent one. At some point, Fletcher started singing "Fuck Zoli" and the crowd sang along hahaha

I'm just in from last night's Flipper show. As i was saying to someone earlier i can sum it up in three words...better than drugs!!! Had drinks with Rachel Thoele before the show, i was carrying my original copy of Sex Bomb Baby, the Infinite Zero pressing. She hadn't seen it before but was impressed and said "i'll be right back" ...she returned with none other than Ted Falconi who was eager to see the record, he said "Goddamn that's the original Sex Bomb!" I got a warm welcome from Ted, he signed my record & said "I gotta go we're on in 15, see you downstairs". Rachel asked me if i wanted to sing "Sex Bomb Baby" she told me she had been doing it for over a week and her vocals were shredded. I declined but asked if i could sing "Falling" ...they don't play it anymore. After the show i caught up with Steve DePace. Another great guy, made time for everyone. Was about to head home when Bruce appeared so naturally i said 'do you wanna go for a drink?' He said 'sure, lets get out of here' and we went to the bar. I ordered Scotch and Heinys. Totally surreal just me and a guy i've looked up to since i was a kid! No interruptions from anyone. Shot the shit about the show ,good whiskey, the tour & music. I said to him, finally i got to see you guys, it's only been 20 some years. He just grinned in amusement, we drank up and parted ways, i had the last train to catch. There you have it, a legendary evening, the band are in fine form, drunk & paint blistering loud! 30 years on Flipper still Rule! If you get the chance go see them! So i guess the old saying is true, good things can indeed happen in life, if not after the first decade then maybe in the next one...Someday!

flew home today from seeing killing joke in amsterdam last night,not bad but off to see em in berlin in a few weeks,hopefully they will be even better,saw PIL in london the other week,very good
